SOCIAL GROUPS
Dinner with Friends
Dinner with Friends is an opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with old ones in the comfort of someone's home over a table spread with a feast. About every two months, people are invited to be host for a group of friends from First Presbyterian Church. A basic menu is planned and then those who sign up to attend are assigned a home and given a part of the meal to prepare. The dinners begin at 6 and end by 9 p.m. Each group offers the same table blessing, but the conversation around each table will vary depending on who is together. This is a wonderful way for new members to make friends!

Sock Hop
Our yearly sock hop is fast becoming a favorite tradition. Young and old alike cut the rug to the oldies for the benefit of various causes. We do the twist, the limbo, and the bunny hop--no one is immune to the infectious music or the spirit of this congegation!
A Night at the Theater!
First Presbyterian Church members can take advantage of a group discount rate for Yale Repertory Theater's subscription series. Tickets are made available for the preview performance of each show. We attend the Monday evening preview performance for each production. The shows begin at 8 p.m and tickets are $16.00. A sign up can be found on the Welcome Table. Two weeks after the show, those who want, come together to discuss the theological themes raised by the play.
Pot Luck of the Month
The Community Life and Outreach Committee

Past themes have included "Foods from Around the World,"Soups to warm the soul" and "comfort foods." All lunches are held in the Miller Gathering Hall.
